Re: Help
Think it's best to take him to the vet in this case - we can only guess to a certain extent and don't think this is something you'd want to do a home remedy for. Initial thoughts are a burn or abscess as it seems the issues are under the scales (since blood marks are visible between the scales, and the scales themselves don't seem too damaged.. I would be tempted to lean towards an abscess).
I would't wait to see if it goes back down or self heals in case of fluid build up. Keep us updated! Hope you'll be able to get answers from a checkup.

Re: Help
I agree - this needs to be checked by a reptile vet promptly before it gets worse....
My guess is it's a burn ( malfunctioning heatpad or heatrock perhaps most likely ).

This is what I do to prevent this from happening (assuming it is a burn from an overheated / malfunctioning heatpad) : https://www.beardeddragon.org/forums/vi ... s#p1746469
I don't trust the builtin temperature control in heatpad sold by anyone , I close the temperature control loop using a simple switching inline thermostat with it's own thermocouple, if the heatpad gets too warm the thermostat turns off the current --> stopping it from overheating. if there is a fault in the heatpad , the - ditto . Has worked for me for over 9 years , never had a fallure or a burnt lizard or anything charred (it happens - overheating heatpads can cause house fires).
The tiles also isolate the heatpad from the lizard and help even out the temperatures and hold the heat and help take the tip of the nails too.

Re: Help
I've just got back from the vet. Rodney has a skin infection possibly caused by a burn from the heat mat(throwing it away) I have cream and antibiotics that I have to give him daily. I have a check up next week. I'll keep posting updates

Re: Help
Thanks for keeping us updated! N'aaaw, at least you know the cause now - glad that you've been able to get some cream and antibiotics to help out (fingers crossed it won't be too difficult to administer!).
