sleeping out in the open

Postby Y33T » Thu Feb 15, 2018 5:35 am

one of my easterns who will be turning 1 in march used to sleep out in the open on his basking spot (the light is off), he doesn't do it anymore since i moved his hide to the hot side (will be getting a second hide soon). is it normal? has anyone else's bluey done this?
i heard that some lizards often don't hide because they know they are safe, i don't know how true this is.
right now he just sleeps with his head sticking out.

Doesn't sound odd. My Easterns sleep wherever the heck they feel like it. So do my Northerns. For the most part they go in their hides but not always especially in summer.
