How long for a kei island to start eating
I got a almost full grown kei island bts at the white plains expo on Sunday and it hasn’t eaten yet. How long do you think it will take for him to eat ? He as just been in his hide

Hey there!
REALLY nice looking BTS you have there!
It could be a week or two before he starts eating - he's probably stressed and getting acclimated to his new environment.
I would let him be for a while, just make sure he has water and he'll eat when he wants to.
As tempting as seeing and holding him may be, it's best to leave him alone for about a week without bothering him at all.
Looks healthy so I wouldn't worry about him not eating right away - he just needs time!

From the pictures, I can't tell if he's full grown or not.
How long is he?
If he's around 18-20+ inches then yes i'd say he's full grown or at least very close to it.
Full grown BTS will also not eat as frequently as younger BTS.

He ate today about a half can of cat food. The breeder said he was on cat food.
