Hello All!
I have a lovely 6 1/2 old Nothern BTS named Rupert. I've been feeding him cat food every third day, with calcium D3 once a week. I am wondering if he looks a little slim? I don't have a scale in my home to weigh him ):
Thanks!!

Very svelte! Doesn't look too skinny at all. I'm actually really surprised — cat food contains more protein than an adult skink needs (it's only recommended for skinks <1 year), so usually adults fed on cat food are overweight. What is your portion size, and do you offer vegetables?

Lol, forgot to mention in post that he's 6 1/2 months x3
I feed him about two teaspoons of cat food every third day, and once a month, I'll feed him Omni Gold-- http://www.lightyourreptiles.com/arcadia-omni-gold-food/
It's not recommended to feed omni gold often to babies since the high vegetable content can cause pyramiding scales

That makes more sense! You can probably increase the portion size to about 1 Tbsp or the size of his head — head size has proven to be the most reliable portion size indicator I've found.

Good looking BTS!
The usual indicator of a skinny BTS is a thin tail with hip bones showing.
Your BTS looks quite healthy and has a nice, thick tail.
Certainly looks like a good healthy BTS to me!
