To all the BTS veterans- How would you tell a T. gigas gigas and a T. gigas evanescens apart without a doubt? I am very curious!

Re: Key differences between Indos and Meraukes?
Gigas gigas would be aka "Classic" Indonesian, differently patterned and a bit shorter in length. Meraukes are probably the longest of the Gigas tribe, although there are so many crosses out there you never know. I've seen some pretty lengthy Irian Jayas, too. More silvery/black for the GG's, Meraukes are most often shades of tan/brownish with bands.
There are so many variations these days due to crosses at the 'farms' it's really hard to specify unless you go to the books. The "Bluey Bible" has some nice examples.
