Hello, I have had my BTS IJ for two weeks (this weekend) and we bought him from a pet store that said he was turned in by someone who had to move. We love him already and have poured over videos and blogs, articles to make sure we're doing things correctly. He seems to be fine with the exception of what the pet store told us was a scar on his head that is now looking like it's getting wider/bigger. He just went thru a shed and I'm wondering if that had anything to do with it?
We did find an exotic vet close to us, however we wanted to know if anyone has ever seen this before or think this is cause to worry?
Thank you so much

I think it needs to checked by a reptile/herp vet.
Is there any puss involved ?
Til a vet sees the injury I think you should put a drop of betadiene on the injury once a day . let it air dry and also dab some raw unpasteurised honey or even better manuka /medihoney on it daily (make sure no crickets or roaches are hiding in the viv as they will be drawn to it).

It seems to have dome other minor scrapes as well, probably been cohabitated. Most likely the sores will just heel themselves. If in doubt you can apply some human anti bacterial cream to the spot using a cotton bud. Sometimes they can get scale rot qhich can be seen as mushy scales, particularly after a shed. The bacteria thrives in moist conditions, so don't get him wet. If in doubt or if it gets worse keep the bluey dry and on paper bedding, you may need to wipe him down + enclosure and fittings with chlorhexidine solution that you may need to get from a vet.
If you wait, all that happens is that you get older. M. Andretti

Thanks everyone for the help. to answer any lingering questions. He eats great, poops great. He went tbrough shed like a champ, we did soak hom in warm water twice (small amt) because he was in a shed when we got him.
nothing is coming out of the little area, the pics did make it look bigger than it is. there's flaky skin around it but i haven't pulled on it, etc.
we're watching it and documenting it. cohabitation might be what happened. i tjought it was a sore from rubbing on a nail, etc. but when we first got him my wife said it looked like a tooth mark
