Re: Enclosure Pictures
Here's my current enclosure with makeshift cardboard hide, nothing special at the moment. I'm making him a custom hide with stairs and a platform.

New little enclosure for Finn my Northern. Changing the substrate to repti bark and getting a screen with the new cage.

Re: Enclosure Pictures
Mine is incomplete, had to empty out a lot of landscaping to clean.
6ft long, 2ft wide, 3ft high
Basking spot is drastically dropped, also would like to use some more fake plants to help support the substrate hill up to the basking. I could actually use some design tips on how I can safely get that side up to about 1ft high so she's close enough to the heat for basking.
I'm fairly happy with the middle, she can climb over or around her water bowl, doesn't get too much stuff in it either. I'm thinking of replacing the fake log with a real gumlog that's broken, I'd just need to sand it back inside so its easy for her to get under and rough the outside for climbing.
The far right, again, I need to figure out how to support the sitting spot above her rock hide. I also plan to develop a platform of sorts that will securely fit there that I can place her feed bowl on and give her a constant graze area. Right now she's in brumation so I took the foodbowl out.

Re: Enclosure Pictures
An update on Norbert's hide. New substrate and layout. Lots of open space up front, warm hide on the right and a basking area he can easily get up to, cooler humid hide/tunnel on the left and some fake plants for coverage. As well as his large water dish. UVB/UVA & heat lamps up top, heat pad underneath the hide on the right.

Re: Enclosure Pictures
Hey guys!! So I have my 5 month old skink in an enclosure that is 2 1/2 ft long. Does the setup look adequate? BTW he is an Irian Jaya. And yes, its has a lid.

Ash the lizard's enclosure, the food lid is temporary.
Seems to be settling in well, enjoys his rock and the hides/hollows

Re: Enclosure Pictures
Hey folks! I thought I'd show my custom designed enclosure that I made myself (with help from my lovely coworkers.)
I'm also new to the hobby and just got my (first) baby Northern, Moko, two weeks ago. S/he's three months old and absolutely dwarfed in the cage!

So whatcha think??? I just got my baby BTS on Thursday, she seems to be settling in perfectly, eating all sorts of different foods straight from the shipping box right out of my hand!!!.... still looking for signs of peepee and poopers.. little worrisome, but I have faith.
