Very nice pictures.
Love the parrot.
Interesting how the blotchie keeps coming back.

Gorgeous pictures El Lobo! We get doves and rosellas visiting here daily but don't have a yard that looks half as good as the one in those pictures. Living in the suburbs has its downsides!

I think she is probably a permanent resident but good at hiding herself. She is a little more cautious at the moment and doesn't let me get as close as in previous years.

We fed the other blotchies this morning so put out an extra dish when we saw her around one of the compost heaps. I noticed she has two ticks near the front left leg so I might need to catch her soon and get rid of them.

That's brilliant. I don't get much in my back yard. The blue looks pretty plump in that last pic...

The blotchy does look quite big but for as long as she has been here I have only observed her having young every other year, starting from 2006. She had young early in 2014.

Scott - I would have to say she does look as though she may be gravid; body girth plus some scarring, although the scarring could be from previous years. They are not usually born around here until March or even early April.

She is definitely more cautious of me getting too close. A couple of weeks ago she bolted when 4 yellow tailed black cockatoos flew over calling. It might be because their call is different to most cockatoos and parrots we have around regularly, more like the whistling sound of a raptor than a parrot.
