Tiliqua rugosa palarra

As some will now I was abel to buy a 1.1 of the T.r.palarra.
Yesterday we did finaly drove to Germany to pick them up
The female is from 2010 and the male from 2011 from 2 bloodlines.
They are so great, and I'm happy to have them.

Thanks, Yes they are the most northern Shingles, that makes that they have a very short hibernation, only
4 weeks.
The tail looks long but dont forget they are from 2010 and 2011 so it will get fatter in a few years.
As I did get the T.. rugosa it looked also longer.

Well Rolf says that the palarra is the easyest breeder from the Shingles, and they easy grow together as a pair.
He thinks that these will get 100% a pair, I hope he is right.

Look like a pr to me fred,i always thought palarra had shorter tails,though they do have an intergade zone with rugosa rugosa so probably variable,and all the western forms are long skinny tail look compared to asperas,most stumpies pr up well,if kept in prs,if you have bigger groups they tend to have a fave female but try others to,at the moment i have one male aspera,trying 3 females

The big differense is the scales are smaller and have more profile, I mean they are not so smooth to the skin.

Very nice fred,might have to do some digging and see if anyone here keeps them or there available,would love to get some differing rugosa forms and sub species,issue is theres so many differing ones so few empty cages,lol

Thanks, you should definitely try to find palarra, they are so different from t.r.r and t.r.a, much more relaxed and curiouse.

Truly beautiful animals. Didn't know this specie was kept in The Netherlands, but I've been out of the hobby for at least 10 years. Count yourself lucky with these nice little beasts!

The palarra are doing great, they start to come out more and are very curiouse.

There can't be enough rugosas in Europe, especially in The Netherlands.
