Postby whdduf10 » Sat Oct 20, 2018 11:21 am

There is very little information about BTS in Korea.

and most of BTS in korea are Halmahera.
So, other species have more less information.

It may be an easy question for you, but please !

My guess would be Irian Jaya as that is what mine is and she looks exactly like yours.

I may be wrong though so I'll leave it to other people to confirm.

Thank you very much for your reply

I also think it's IJ, but he got a one stripe pattern back of neck and black front legs with white speckles.

is it new merauke? Hybrid?

I'll wait for other people's opinions.

Agree, looks more Merauke to me too, but IJs can be quite variable. There are also many Merauke/IJ crosses going around that are labelled as 'New Meraukes' as their correct lineage is more than likely unknown. Care for Meraukes/IJs would be the same, so no worries with that.

Personally I see more Irian Jaya in this animal than classic Merauke. If I had to pick one over the other, I'd lean more towards IJ, but so many of the Indonesian species, especially the IJ have been crossbred over the years, I would have to agree that you have an Irian Jaya with some Merauke influence
