For breeders who do light cycles

Postby Spindown » Mon Sep 24, 2012 2:09 pm

How do you find out what time you should set your light timers every day/week/month to simulate the natural wax and wane of the outside light? I've been trying to google what our sunrise/set times are where I live (Seattle WA USA) and I'm getting confused. I want to simulate the light/dark cycles this year.

For googling it, check the weather network. It tells you sunrise/sunset for your area. Today for Seattle sunrise was 6:59 and sunset is 19:01

I don't personally change my cycle aside from winter time, but if I was I'd change it every 2 weeks or so to the current sunrise/sunset times. I don't though, just wanted to offer the weather network link.

You can also purchase digital timers that automatically adjust for Sunrise sunset times.
